Ferny Grove jam in November
26th November 2024

The rainy night couldn’t keep us away from Ferny Grove jam on Wednesday 20 November. We were rewarded with a fun night with four sets of music supported by Andrew on sound and projection.
First up Linda and Kev took us through some tunes looking splendid in musical attire.
On cue for Australian Music month, Derrick and Donna did a terrific rendition of “Am I ever gonna see your face again? “by the Angels. The crowd kept Bums family friendly by only politely calling back to the question.
Congratulations to the 5 gents from Numbums who have been working hard, with the rest of their group, all year with 24 performances at aged care facilities. The group shared with us some of the tunes that have had their audiences dancing in the aisles throughout the year. They certainly put a smile on our face and a few sore fingers from the lively strumming.
The last Ferny Grove jam for the year came to a close with a set from Linda’s band , “Strung Out”. They did not live up to their name but were indeed full of vibrancy with a full sound coming from drums, bass, lead use and vocals from Linda and her groovy back up singers. Strung out took us on a journey that started with us “ Lost in France” and then we ended up “ Right Back to where we started from."
We could have uke n sung all night but sadly things had to come to an end as the bowls club called it a night.
December Ferny Grove Bums will be a combined end of year jam at Geebung for the Northside Christmas Spectacular, Wednesday 11 December at 6.30pm. See you there.
