Blue Moon for Pete

“Playing ‘Blue Moon’ for Pete was a perfect send off.  It was such a pleasure to hear how ukuleles were such an important part of the last years of his life.”

So spoke a member of Queensland Vintage Car Club (another of Peter Ransom’s passions) after the memorial to his life on 31 October at Victoria Park.

The memorial had a very musical flavour with jazz recordings and video of Pete playing and singing Lulu’s Back in Town. Sixteen BUMS and other ukulele friends of Pete added to the music by playing and singing Blue Moon.   It was a special occasion.
