Lively fun at the Ferny Grove jam
23rd September 2024
By Diane Davis
The September Ferny Grove jam was, as always, great fun. Linda had a good selection of songs, many of which were firm favourites. She performed them with great enthusiasm despite the fact she was feeling travel weary - having just returned from a trip to China. Kev was sounding great on vocals as well as bass and Andrew was manning the projection screen. Judi got on stage at one point to help Linda with the harmonies.
As usual Donna Farrell ran a beginner’s class before the jam. When the jams started there were about 60 players. The numbers were boosted by a few people come in from the dining room who came to see what was happening and stayed to enjoy the evening.
We were treated to two songs performed in the first break by the Bunyaville Buskers - Groovy Kind Of Love and Heart And Soul, both sounding fabulous!
The second break we had the talented Donna and Derek performing - It Had To Be You and It’s A Sin To Tell A Lie.
A great night was had by all!
