So. You’re looking for some lessons with the convenience of learning from home?
The internet is awash with online lesson providers:
Ukulele Underground www.ukuleleunderground.com has been going for a while so there are a lot of lessons up there, but they’re all quite easy to follow. Be warned though if you’re on a low bandwidth – they’re mostly videos so you might chew through it spending a lot of time there! Could even be worth increasing your internet plan
Ukulele Hunt http://ukulelehunt.com/2008/04/02/posts-for-first-timers/ While not really lessons, he has some posts about how to read chord charts and tabs, buying your first ukulele, and a category of Ukulele 101 posts.
Michael Lynch http://www.youtube.com/user/MusicTeacher2009 Have a look at his Ukulele Lesson Videos playlist for some great lessons that start at the basics (tuning to C) and progress from there.
BUMS-member Michael has written a book: Make Your Own Ukulele Chord Solos and has a series of accompanying videos on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/user/reyalpeleluku
